Wow. Thanks for the tips everyone. I loosened up my mask and felt only minor nasal irritation this morning and it went away before I even got a chance to brush my teeth this morning. The congestion is a little bit better after turning my humidity up but there was still a bit. It was gone by 10:30am though. Maybe I'll bump it up a notch tonight again. While it took me a 10-15 minutes to shake the cobwebs out of my head this morning (which I think is more a result of the Ambien) I'm feeling noticeably better right now. Oddly enough I noticed that drinking my morning coffee actually gave me a caffeine high for the first time in God knows how long. Usually I needed a cup of coffee or two to even think about being functional.
Does anyone know if Ambien is a drug I can cut in half? While I do like the fact that it does seem to do a good job of knocking me out, I'm not too thrilled with the lingering affects it has in the morning as I often don't have much time between when I wake up and when I need to jump in my car for work. Once again, thanks all for helping me out during this awkward process! I only help that I can help a newbie too someday.
