I am betting that what is offered for sale right now will be the older version and will need the upgrade and this will probably stay that way until when and if the new version is distributed on disc to suppliers but you might send cpap a note and ask for sure.
I am short on time at the moment but there is a way of manually removing the program that won't uninstall.
It involves manually deleting any and all files/folders associated with the program. We call it a dirty removal because it typically leaves bits and pieces laying around that we can't find...especially in the registry.
What you might do is rename the old broken software to make it non functioning...then the attempted install from the disc won't look for the old version and should proceed like it isn't even on your computer.
I think that all would be needed is to rename the main folder and this breaks the line of connection.
In theory it should work. To rename it...navigate using Mycomputer to the main folder wherever it is...right click mouse and choose rename...call it whatever you like..Brokensoftware would be good.
It is easily reversed if need be.
Of course old data is probably gone but with a failed uninstall..it is probably gone anyway.
If this doesn't work...maybe I can come up with other ideas when I have more time or I could explain how to manually remove the files/folders if you don't know how.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
