How can they claim "reasonable pricing" when ResMed, Philips Respironics, and Devilbiss all fix the price of their stuff? Can't be sold cheap. That's why internet shopping for a new S9 machine is a total waste of time. They all cost the same.

if i go to the dme brick and mortar store, the machines without humidifier are all going to cost around $1500 with the insurance picking up around $1200 and me paying around $300 with insurance. without insurance i would expect to pay around $1500.

i go on line and buy the newest sys one auto for around $700. i can buy the newest resmed auto for around $1000. these prices are with humidifier.

matter of fact everything you buy on the internet is somewhat cheaper plus typically no sales tax unless you are ordering from an one line store that is located in your state of residence.

explain again how internet shopping is total a waste of time. actually it is time well spent and takes less of your time than going to your store.

dollar savings and time savings are what make internet shopping very popular.

I was told that when I wanted to get my machine from the DME here in Singapore. I contacted a few who all explained that because it's company policy the price is fixed blah blah blah....

After a bit of research online I got one for about 30% of the original price. Don't tell me that the owners of the online stores are selling at this price just for philanthropy

I had a similar experience buying an APAP without DME insurance. A local DME quoted $1,500. Another was a little cheaper, but still much higher than the going price on the Internet. Most brick-and-mortar DMEs would not even quote a price by e-mail - they wanted to get hold of my prescription first.

What I meant is all on-line internet stores sell the machines for about the same price. Yes, cheaper than DME. But comparing the price between internet sites, the price is all the same. Take a look for yourself.

ResMed S9 Autoset
cpap.com $853
cpapsupplyusa.com $853
advanscpap.com $853
cpapman.com $853
cpapxchange.com $853

Get the picture. Shopping around on the internet is a waste of time. It's the same price no matter where you buy. So buy from the most reliable vendor with the best reputation for service to the buyer.

Not so sure. At least last time when I was looking for a battery the price range was quite wide.

then it's probably best that you don't shop around because the basic price of the s-9 is set by resmed. i agree with you.

i however will continue looking around. some places do have different prices on things, maybe not your autoset. however dealers are different in regards to shipping and free shipping. my favorite one also offers to take trade ins which they in turn donate to non profit orgs and gives you dollar points for every item you buy that you can redeem in future purchases. you can call it what you want but it amounts to a small price difference. they also offer free software and have an on-line chat that alot of places don't have. they weren't in your list. respshop.com. that's one example. others probably have other ways to effectively get the price down or up a little.
