Pugsy, Help! from bibj12

Post by bibj12 » Tue Jun 19, 2012 8:28 am

Pugsy, I tried to send you a private message twice. The first time I clicked on Preview and a new window came up that said "Too few characters". I tried to go back to my message and it was gone so I typed a new message and just clicked on Submit and got the same message, Too few characters. I admit I'm not too bright but I must need instructions to use this site. I know I had a terrible time when I was trying to list my equipment. I made a mistake there when I said I wasn't aware of any software because I do have a little card that fits into a slot in the back of my machine. When I tried to go back and edit my equipment I couldn't figure out how to do it. I am going to try your instructions on turning up my humidifier to 5, putting the mask on and breathing for about 10 minutes. I'll let you know what happens. I'm so sorry I'm so dense but I do appreciate all the information you gave me. I sent this before but am not sure you got it.

I'm not Pugsy, but I think she is rather busy this week, so I'll try to help.

As far as I can tell, "Too few characters" means the body of the message is empty. If you get it, do not not use the back button - you are still on the message edit page.

Are you sure you are typing your message in the right box? The message body, the part that must not be empty, goes in the big box immediately above the Save, Preview, and Submit buttons.

If you are not taking the card out and reading it on a computer, you are not using any software and do not need to list any.

To edit your equipment, click "User Control Panel" on any page. It is near the top left, just under the search toolbar. In the control panel, click "Profile" in the tab bar, then "Edit equipment" in the left column.

If the Subject line is not complete then that might also account for the failed message.
I have seen similar message when I send someone a note and forgot to put something in the subject line box and yes...if you hit back space it takes you back to page before you composed anything...been there myself.

Listing your software is not a critical issue at all. Don't worry about it if you can't figure out how to edit that spot.

You are the person with the questions about the humidifier maybe not heating aren't you?
