Cover for humidifier elbow

My humidifier tubing elbow that comes out of my humidifer did not come with a cover like is shown on here:https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respir ... ifier.html I need some ideas on something to cover the elbow when the hose isn't on it. Water and pop bottle lids are too big. Is there someplace I can get the cover or does anyone have any ideas for me. Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions.

i'm not clear what you are talking about. are you talking about the big square cover the the elbow passes thru or are you talking about something to cover the elbow opening. if you're talking about the elbow opening, they don't come with covers. i never heard of that. leave the hose on. if you're intent on covering the end, use a piece of saran wrap and a rubberband.

Your talking about that little red cap. That is just what is put on when it is first packaged and shipped. When the DME first sets it up they throw it away. I have been using a CPAP since 1998 and have never needed a cap for the unit. Even the old humidifiers that I used years ago that were just a round tank that had 2 of those caps on them when I took them out of the box, I just threw them in the trash when I would start to use a new one.
You really do not need to have anything to cover the opening. I travel all the time and have never had a problem from not covering the hole.

I am with you dragon,I put a black cap from a whiskey bottle over the elbow on my m series to stop dust or spiders or gekos when I winter in Mexico,anything that would like a warm home.Good piece of mind and cheap.

If your looking for expensive solutions...
There are cpap bio/filters (used in hospitals so if you have the plague, they don't have to trash the machine).

Or go to your DME and get an O2 oxygen port (the resporincs has a lid over the o2 port) and tape up the end that doesn't fit on the hose.

Or find a friend with a lathe. Order some rubber stoppers from a school chemistry supply place.

What about a wine bottle stopper? Not a cork but one of the tapered ones.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I ended up taking apart an empty prescription bottle lid and using it. I live in a dry county and I don't drink so unfortnately the jack daniels cap and wine cork will not work for me but thanks for the ideas.
