Every 3rd day BAD! Why?

Approx every third day or so I feel awful:tired unrested all day...or on occasion fine and too tired to function tho by night.

All looks good on apap: no leaks, no wild AHIs...pressures hangs around at 7.5..my range is 6-14 on machine

On good days Im great!

All I can see is that total time, if less than seven and a half hours, I feel bad the next day
Nine hours or even 8...Im great !

Can one be THAT sensitive to needing 8 (vs 7) ??????

Im 55 and that wasnt the case 2 or more years ago

MD running bloodwork now, starts me tomorrow on nuvigil on bad days

Anyone else have a clue on this one?

This may or may not apply to you, but I just noticed that my sleep lately is cycling, about on a 3 night interval too. I'm 55 as well. What happens is I'll get a normal night's sleep, then a very good one, then a bad one, repeat... I think in my case I might be accumulating rest and then I'm over-rested and have a poor night's sleep, so the next night I have a better and then yet a better one, then I'm over-rested again and the quality again collapses. Something like that. If I've paid up my sleep debt now, what I have been doing is increasing my physical exertion during the day so I'm more fit and less "over-rested".

Could just be the little extra hours of sleep helping out.
If I get 7 hours of sleep...I feel okay...7 1/2 hours a little better than okay and if I get 7 3/4 to 8 hours...hugely better than okay. Sometimes just the least little things can really impact how we feel.

3 day cycles and 55 is too weird

I have a cycle sort of like that too and I am older. There is at least one night where I sleep really badly or can't get to sleep then about 2 or 3 good nights and then it is screwed up again.
However my life is kind of weird right now.
