Should I upgrade ??

Post by Appalachian » Sat Jun 09, 2012 10:02 am

I've had my Cflex for about 10 years now, its been absolutely bomb proof, its withstood the bumps, bruises & vibrations that a 18 wheeler can dish out with the exception of having to replace the heater (think'n my power inverter had something to do with that).

Since its been 10 years I wunder if thers better machines out ther now days, the Cflex is still running just fine but a smaller/lighter & more portable unit would be nice, was just look'n at the portable battery opperated machine from AEIOmed & have to say it has caught my attention since it can be used for camping (anyone have any input on this machine ??).

What say you ???

I thought they had discontinued that machine. The new machines are way smaller and lighter in weight than the oldies, have way more features too. You would be wise to update and just keep your oldie as a backup.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

It's probably been 10 years since you had a sleep study. You need to get a new sleep study before you can upgrade. That way you are getting the most appropriate therapy for your current condition and not your condition 10 years ago.

It seems the newer machines have the newer algorithms. Might be useful.

Thanks for the input ya'll, I figured since todays "latest/greatest" can be obsolete in a matter of weeks it would be good to gather some food for thought, have to say some look to be much smaller, mines about the size of a microwave oven...............................................not really but...

Are you a trucker? Do you turn in CPAP compliance reports to Big Brother?
