Do You Still Get Sleepy?
Do You Still Get Sleepy?
Life is pretty darned good since starting APAP therapy last November.
However, about once a week or so, I still get sleepy at my desk after work. Does anyone else have that happen to them?

Still get sleepy?
Yes, but there may be other reasons for it - try a piece of candy at that time - it's well known that blood sugar can drop in late afternoon (especially if you've had a heavy, carb filled lunch) and you may need an extra 'kick' to jumpstart you til suppertime.

Work makes me sleepy. Always has. School made me sleepy too. Guess I ain't a "go-getter!". Never actually fell asleep at work but I know folks who have. Until OSA I could fake it enough to make it. OSA and the inabliity to fake it was gonna make me a beggar so I am glad that I am working my way back to just having work make me sleepy.
I got trapped as a bystander to three co-workers chatting for 1 1/2 hours about retirement and one of them was 34. Talk about sleep inducing. I was trying to get some work done without faking it. A bit of hi-fat carb and a cup of coffee just about dropped me in a sinkhole. Life as a state bureaucrat in higher ed

About once every two months I get so sleepy during the day that I just have to take a nap.
And when I do it's usually around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Well, I'll lay down and won't wake up until the next morning sometime, some nap.
I've done this for a few years now. I can figure it out, the Dr. says not to worry but it still concerns me.
So if you find out what's causing your problem maybe I can relate it to mine.

Same thing here. Cpap is a wonderful thing and life is great, but I still get sleepy sometimes. I've done the twelve hour nap before also. Not often enough to be concerned about though.
I believe, that napping is a lost art and don't want to lose touch with it completely.
Sometimes we just get tired no matter how well we sleep or how much.
Human frailty.
The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day in southern Indiana!!
Have a good one, folks!!!

WooHoo! Life is good.

Do you still get sleepy?
Hello folks and greetings from North Carolina. I have found the CPAP to be wonderful. I have been using it now for 7 months and from time to time I get sleepy, real sleepy. Like I have to pull off the road. I check my mask for leaks but sometimes I am so tired. I often take a nap after work. Any suggestions
