No More Headrests! Argh! What's best nasal pillow?

Post by dvejr » Mon Jun 04, 2012 7:17 pm

Bit disturbed to find out my long-time-favorite nasal pillow interface, the Aeiomed Everest Headrest (aka Twilight), is off the market.
Are any former users who have switched to something else happy with whatever new gear they're using now?

Have used the Headrest but we didn't get along. Go to cpap.com and read the reviews on the Aloha pillows by Respcare. It's my number one appliance now.

Try the resmed swift fx. I've been using this for a couple of years now and love it. Barely notice it some nights.

Many of us have stocked up in the past 18 months. As recent as mid April 2012, my DME still get them for me.

Here are a few sites that appear to still have availability:

http://www.cpapsupplyusa.com/802HRMLX-A ... googlebase
http://www.bestcpapprice.com/Aeiomed-He ... _p_94.html

If they have them, I'd stock up on lots and lots pillows. The actual head piece lasts forever -- I'm still using the same one after 18 months. I wash regularly and wear papcap, so very little oil from my scalp comes into contact with head piece.

When I heard the rumors last year I purchased 5 of them. Yea it hurt the pocketbook as they were purchased by me with no insurance involved (too much hassle and found I would rather just bite the bullet and save money by using on-line sites than pay the brick and mortar ridiculous prices).

So glad I did!!
