I pour out the water from my humidifier each night and refill before bed. Is this typical, or do most just keep the water in and "top it off"?
I also just wipe down the mask nightly with a baby wipe. How often, and more importantly how, do you clean your equipment? I've only done it every other month or so, and just soaked it all in a bucket with luke warm water and dish detergent.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Cleaning habits?
If you do a search for equipment cleaning, you'll have enough reading and ideas to keep you busy at least until the end of the year.
Pass the popcorn, please Uncle_Bob.....
It's all dependent on how clean you want your stuff to be, and IMHO whether your house is kept clean, you have pets etc. I'm a clean-freak, but only use wipes on my nasal pillows every night, then wash then twice a week. My SleepWeaver mask gets washed after each use. Tubing gets a bath about once a month, but I use a backup one because it takes several days for the washed one to dry properly. Tank gets washed once a week.
Cheers,
xena

Well I'll jump in and go for a swim...
How is your immune system?
If you have a strong immune system, you can get by with infrequent cleaning.
If you don't, you should clean more often.
So, if you wake up with sinus issues, congestion, a soar throat, running nose, coughing, or other things like that, you may find it helps to clean more often.
Of course some people are more preventative and clean daily.

Re: Cleaning habits?
Cleaning has been discussed too many times to count. Here is a link with just a few of the discussions.

It all boils down to what you are comfortable with. I went 3 weeks and didn't even wash my new Aloha nasal pillows. Does that give you an idea what my cleaning schedule is? Yep..pretty much non existent cleaning schedule.
I am fine. No immune system problems and in 3 years of being on the machine I have had 2 colds and both were brought home to me by my husband. I know people cringe when they read what a lazy sort I am but hey...I am good with it and they don't see me roll my eyes when they want to wash everything every day.
There are as many preferences regarding cleaning as there are people doing it. Do what you are comfortable with doing. If you sleep better each night cleaning things often...then clean them often.
