Here is an example of nasal pillow

Image

According to the manufacturer "Nasal pillow masks cover the nostril only. Comparing to traditional nasal masks, nasal pillow masks are lighter, and users have more flexibility"

That's what I have been using for some time (not exactly this model, but the type of mask) and i am quite happy.

Various forum members have nasal pillow masks.
You can click on the blue text or picture in their equipment list at the bottom of any post
for a full description (with pictures), courtesy of our hosts.

One example of "cover the mouth too" might be the "Mirage Liberty". Try a search for that string; you'll get a BUNCH of posts/comments.

Discuss with prescriber and DME.

Which one peaks your interest? Your DME should have some available. Were you wanting just the nasal pillow mask like the Swift FX that was shown above or were you wanting one of those that had the nasal pillows and also covered the mouth?
There are 2...the ResMed Liberty and the Innomed/Respcare Hybrid both have the nasal pillows and cover your mouth.
There are many other type of nasal pillow masks that leave the mouth uncovered. Unsure what you are wanting.

In general to purchase a mask online you need to have a copy of your RX on file. There are ways to buy the replacement parts and build your own mask by using EBay sellers. All depends on what you are wanting and if you can't get your DME to get one for your using your insurance.

I dont know if I have a dme or what not.
I got my machine from the VA years ago,
I got my new mask a few months ago from the Dr's office. They also gave me some new filters for the machine too.
Does that mean my Dr office is my DME then?
