Hi all,
I'm newly registered to this site and I have a question that stems from a message that I posted with a title that doesn't very accurately reflect the specific type of BiPAP unit I use. Several members helpfully suggested that I edit the title so forum members who have that machine will view and read the post. It isn't apparent to me that I can in fact edit the title of a message that I've posted (I don't know if this is relevant but there have been a number of replies to the msg and it's developed into a medium length thread). Should I repost my original msg with a more appropriate title? I can do so but it seems it will leave all of the responses behind. Thanks in advance for any advice you can throw my way.

I would repost the question correctly and forget about the posts posted there.

Re: Forum etiquette – editing post title
Oops... You know I think when you first posted that you weren't registered and you may not have that edit option available to that particular post.
Normally what we do is go back to the original post...choose edit like we were going to fix a typo and that first original post will include the subject title and it can be altered when editing the first post.
So if you don't see "Edit" as an option on that particular post then you can't change it.
How to fix it and still not have to redo all the history you posted there? Not sure which would be the best way to handle it if you can't edit the subject.
Maybe a new post with a link to the other thread and mention ASV and centrals in the subject of a new post and a link to your other original post???

Thanks to you both - I've reposted. There are probably some users grinding their teeth at my spamming the site with my msg; I hope I haven't soiled my name here before I've even begun.
Kind regards,

No problem at all. People will pick up on the new thread and the old thread will quickly drop off the main page.
