Thank you everyone for the kind words.

I joined the forum right before my titration sleep study so my 3 years on the machine isn't until the end of the month.
Getting close though. Pretty much have been 100% compliant unless there was something strange beyond my control which has happened on occasion.

It has not been a bed of roses but hasn't been all thorns either. No overnight miracles for me though.....well at least in the manner that I wished there to be an overnight miracle. I am a poster child for "other issues impacting quality of sleep" and as much as I wished that the cpap machine could fix those issues too....it just doesn't.

So for newbies reading this forum and thinking that "most" people feel remarkably improved in just a short while...most people don't. We just seem to read the miracle stories and think everyone has the miracle when in reality those that do are actually in the minority. The bulk of the cpap user population get to see a very, very, very slow improvement. So slow it is almost imperceptible. Believe me...I know. Since we really have no choice but to keep plodding along and working on improving things...that is what I chose to do. We just have to do the best we can with what we are given to work with. Sometimes it's easy but most of the time it is just plain old fashioned hard work.

Thanks to all of you who have put up with me and who have let me become a part of this large and wonderful family.

Happy Anniversary, Pugsy. Thanks for all your help. Without you, I would've thrown everything related to Apnea out the window. George

Happy Anniversary Pugsy,

You're one of the special ones here who pays it forward time and time again.

In my case, I've learned a lot from you about not going overly compulsive about leak lines and not over stressing the occasional nights when the Aliens visit and leave me with a higher than expected AHI.
