how long can a hose be Resmed s9

how long can a hose be on Resmed s9? I don't want to disrupt pressure, but i also want to be further from the machine (exhale honk/whooo noise is bothersome to me{I know some like it})

They sell 10' hoses that fit most machines. I'm not sure a longer hose will solve your problem. Have you taken your unit it to be checked by your DME? If it's not your machine, you may have this sound locked into your brain and every time you turn on the machine..you are listening for the sound.

Of course it's locked into my brain , I'm a musician, can't play along if you can't hear the beat !

it's like a drippy faucet, some people have no problems, some people will turn into murderous maniacs and everywhere in between.
When I use ear plugs I don't hear it and sleep fine but I can't stand earplugs. When they comeout I hear the noise , so i think I actually do hear it and it's not solely a phantom noise. Plus I recorded it, I would love to share but don't know where to upload that I will be able to. Funny part is when my wife is asleep she doesnt hear it, when I played the recording she does.... I think it's because I'm 2 feet closer to the machine..so anoher four feet may actually solve the problem
