Data corrupt?

Post by xm41907 » Sat Apr 28, 2012 5:43 am

I've been using my machine for several months now, and have been checking it daily with Sleepyhead Software, and occasionally Encore. Well the last two days the data hasn't been working right. Two days ago, it appeared to only partially download the data. Check out the highlighted circles below. There is a discrepancy between the AHI values and there is no Event Flag window. Also, it appeared to stop recording data at 3:10 in the morning, even though I didn't wake up until 6:30. Then last night, I slept with the machine on from about 11:00-7:00. Neither sleepyhead nor Encore has been able to retrieve data for last night. I checked the SD Card, and data files were recorded for last night. Can anyone help or give advice for why the data isn't retrievable?

How very odd....so this is a problem with Thursday night's data and Friday night's data???

Do you have a spare new SD card laying around? If so try this...insert the new SD card into the machine and let it write the data that is stored on the machine to it. Then go to each of your software products and create a new user for each for this new SD card...and do you download...check to see if the data for those 2 nights are now available...you won't have waveform but the other stuff will be there.

I suppose you probably don't really need to create a new user profile but it might be easier to keep things separate that way. Your choice really. If the missing data shows up then you may have a problem with the previous SD card itself. Easy check.

I figured out what the problem is. The SD card connection is defunked. Now it isn't even registering that I put an SD card in. Time to call my DME and tell them. I'm sure I'll be getting hell for it. DME "How do you know it's not writing to the card?" ME: "Because I check it daily." DME: "You're not supposed to pull it out yourself. You broke it." Yeah right!

Feh on your DME if they tell you that. Mine checked me out on the machine, INCLUDING removing and replacing the card. I hope yours treats you better than you expect.
