Thanks xena.xenablue wrote: Just as an observation - my sleep study results showed a total AHI index of 21.3 with 97 events per hour - considered severe by my neurologist. From the time the sleep tech put me on CPAP in that same study, my AHI has been less than 1.0 - every night since (18-months ago) it's around .2, and neuro considers me a very successful user of XPAP therapy.
Do I feel like leaping out of bed in the mornings? Do I feel totally refreshed? NO! Yes, I feel better, and don't get sleepy during the day any more, but at least I know I'm getting enough oxygen to ward off the horrible complications of untreated OSA.
Yimeng - I think you should find another doctor who will take your lethargy more seriously - with that AHI level every night, you obviously have something going on that your machine can't tell you. An oximeter would be a good purchase for your own reference.
Good luck and keep us informed of your progress.
