What pressure setting are you using?

Are you using the ramp?

What humidifier setting are you using?

Many folks feel as though they can't get enough air at lower pressures or with two much humidity. And the smaller dead space in the nasal pillows mask can aggravate this feeling for some folks.

Hi, My pressure is set at 7, I do not use the ramp. Humidifier setting varies I have it at 2.5 right now.

I have had some patients that feel this way when trying out the pillows. For some reason they do feel like they receive more air with the nasal mask. Sometimes, if they cant wear a nasal mask due to feelings of claustrophobia then we try the next larger size pillow (if possible) and that sometimes seems to do the trick.

Hope that helps!

I've had this feeling with my nasal pillows too.
I make sure that my nose is clear of boogers and I use a nasal spray in the morning, and also an hour or so before bed.
Most nights now I do not get that feeling, and when I do, I find that if I go through a relaxing process it often goes away.

I sometimes get this problem with nasal pillows, and find that it's almost always due to allergies and my sinuses swelling. As well as taking something at night for my allergies, I also adjust the humidity settings on my machine that helps as well.

Cheers,
xena

It could be a size issue. The smaller size nasal pillows fit me better but I don't feel like I get enough air so I use the medium size that don't fit quite as well but, because of the increased air flow, are more comfortable.

Me too. The medium pillows fit better, but the large give me more air.
