Has anyone noticed how vastly different the headgear feels when you change the top slat ? I can't decide which slat I like more, the top or bottom (No can I remember where the Aloha default slat was...top or bottom).

I'm an Aloha user and find your post confusing.

Re: Aloha users
Look at the headgear. On the top are two slats to run velcro overhead strap. You have a choice which one you want to run the strap through and depending on which slat you use, the headgear feels very different. I don't remember the way it came. That would most likely be the "default" slat that the manufacturer thinks most people will want. Maybe I'm wrong. I just know that if I use the second one (the higher one) the headgear sits so that I have to wear the mask a little more snug than the first slit where I can wear the headgear very lose. I don't know which way I like better. How do you wear yours?

I'm guessing that spellcheck changed 'slit' to 'slat' --Bad spellcheck program!
I was confused too.
Of course, now I'm just curious how the comfort and stability compare to the Swift FX.

Re: Aloha users
I used a Swift FX for a few weeks prior to getting my Aloha. Since then, I've just used the Aloha. There's something about the way it feels that I like better... I hardly notice it's on for one thing and it simply fits better without having to be so tight. Also, the way the pillows are set up, it enables me to turn over from side to side on the pillows (head pillow AND Aloha pillows) without too much disturbance or leaks. I think the tube/stalks the pillows rest on are more resilient and allow more movement. Not sure. I've gotten the bella straps for my FX, but have yet to try them out because I'm afraid to sleep a night without the Aloha. And after all, "Aloha" (when it pertains to the FX) means GOODBYE.
Re: Aloha users
Mine came in the back slot and I moved it to the front slot which I like better. Your right it makes a whole different feel on your head.

Re: Aloha users
slit-slat-slot I don't know what it's actually called. The Swift FX is the one with the double pillow? How do I describe this...it had a pillow in a pillow but it's too collapsible for me, but I could see how some would really like the simplicity of it.It was soft like the Hybrid pillow, but even though Resmed doubled the skin of the pillow, it kept collapsing and I would get leaks. Also, the headgear came too close to my eyes. It's in my rainy day drawer. The Swift LT was good. Not Aloha good, but good. The Go Life didn't even go into my rainy day drawer. It went right into the can .It was so close into the eyes, I wonder who let off the assembly line. Don't they try these things on ?
Re: Aloha users
For the collapsible Swift FX pillows put O rings under them, makes a world of difference.

Re: Aloha users
Just curious...Who sells those ? Where do you have to put them ?
Re: Aloha users
Could you describe more how this helps, or perhaps a picture maybe? I'm trying to imagine what this does or why it helps?squid13 wrote:For the collapsible Swift FX pillows put O rings under them, makes a world of difference.

Re: Aloha users
The LT fix is over them on the outside

Re: Aloha users
Put them on just like Uncle_Bob's photo shows, gives them a solid base. The O ring size is OD 13/16 by ID 9/16 by 1/8 . Danco #93 O ring. It's the same fix for the Swift FX. Pick them up at any hardware store.

Re: Aloha users
Mine came with the velcro strap in the back (higher) slit/slot. I moved it to the front (lower) slit/slot and, for me, it feels much better. The original slit/slot just didn't let it sit right in my head.
I don't use the Aloha all the time but do use it on occasion and that's my slit/slot preference but everyone will be different.

Re: Aloha users
If you go to a local hardware-only store, like Ace, or Westlake, many of them have bins of single parts, where you can buy just the size you need.
Of course, Harbor Freight has this big multi-size plastic divided box--but whadaya do with all the ones you don't use?

Well, if anyone gets the Aloha and wants to trade it for another mask please PM me, I can't get one and my DME doesn't seem to be able to get the Devilbiss rep. on the horn to even get a sample. UGH
