leaks

How do you know what your leak rate is? I'm new to this stuff and I didn't see anything in my literature about it. I'm on bipap and my numbers are 18/10....what would a good(?) or bad leak would be?

Check this conversation and see if it answers your question:

I been using the F&P 431 mask for six months but I am going to change to a nasal mask and a chinstrap. I have found the #431 mask causing too many leaks around its face seals.

Check under Pugsy's posts... she has some links for software called Sleepyhead. Download and install Sleepyhead, use it to pull the data from your SD card in your machine.

Pugsy also has tutorials in her signature.

I was just going to post that I tried to open the pdf for the F & P mask used here but it never would load for me. I was trying to find vent rate graphs.

Check the link that Avi pointed to in his post. I did some explaining about basic leaks in that thread. If you still have questions then ask the here.

SleepyHead links in my signature.

That link doesn't like me either. Won't open. Guess maybe I should finally allow those Adobe updates that I have been putting off.
