Doing better

Post by kgresgott » Mon Mar 12, 2012 6:19 pm

I talked to my DME today. He looked at my results from the last few days (I don't know exactly how it works but there is a modem on my machine, and he can look and see how I am doing from where he is). He told me that where before I was having 17-18 events at night, I am now having none! So, I am happy about that.

I don't really feel better but I guess it's working. I still wake up a few times a night. I am still getting used to the mask on my face so I know that is to be expected. My husband is very supportive of me. He helps me with my 'gear' every night. lol

Thanks for reading this far.

You can look at your reports also..just use SleepyHead. Links for it in my signature.

How many times are you waking up each night? Do you know for what reason? Fragmented sleep for any reason will sure mess with how we feel the next day. How many hours of sleep are you getting regularly?

While it does take time for some people to notice any marked improvement, why not utilized that time to learn about your reports. Maybe leaks are waking you up. You can see leak line on the reports. Also bear in mind that if you have other problems unrelated to sleep apnea the machine doesn't work so great on things unrelated to sleep apnea...so we have to sometimes look for other factors that might be a factor in feeling less than optimal during the day.
Meds...hours asleep (how many hours)....fragmented sleep...bed comfort...insomnia...other health issue...pain....etc.
