DeVilbiss announced a new pillows system today
DeVilbiss introduced a new pillows system today (the 'Aloha') and CPAP dot COM has them on order. Looks good and the pillows' angle can be adjusted like the Swift LT for comfort. The headgear is available in three sizes, which should be be great for getting a good fit! Check it out.

P.S. I don't sell them but I plan to get one.

Re: DeVilbiss announced a new pillows system today
At first glance it looks pretty good. I'll probably give it a try. I've tried other nasal pillow masks and they have not worked out because the pillows can't be adjusted on a pivot to get the right angle.
Looks like CPAP.com has the complete nasal pillow kit up with the 3 different sized pillows included.
I wonder what sized headgear ships with that? medium?
And the cost of the replacement pillows?

I want to try this, too!
Devilbiss has the coolest swivel design;
The only other company Ive seen that has a ball swivel is Weinmann in Germany.
I don't think we can get it here.

Thanks for the heads up. I see that it is priced on the reasonable side, which is a welcome relief compared to what most masks have for a retail price. My current Swift LT will be worn out soon, so I am also going to give this a try. The site says it is expected to ship March 5.

Wonder how much the replacement pillows will be.
Also bumping this thread--why should Bella get all the attention?

Re: DeVilbiss announced a new pillows system today
I was thinking about the refill pillows--not listed yet.
Most replacement pillows run from around $22 to $29.

I placed my order already, $85 doesn't qualify for the free shippping. So it made the return insurance more sense as it takes the total to $101 for free shipping.
I'm mainly concerned about the pillows, I didn't get on with the F&P Opus 360 pillows. The picture does not show if they are dual walled or how "plump" they are.

Re: DeVilbiss announced a new pillows system today
Just ordered mine. Return insurance was $16.99 and added to the price of the mask ($84.95) = $101.94 and that qualified for free shipping - picked FedEx as they come to my area about mid-day each time. I didn't ask about pillow replacement since I'm on Medicare. I can get two/month from my DME with no deductible. If you follow the link I posted there is a very small clickable "pillows" PDF file on the bottom left below the word Literature that gives insurance prices in a range of 22.36 - 26.30 (going from memory). I doubt our host will be much above $22.
Looking forward to receiving it next week probably as the site says they will ship 03/05. I get along well with the F&P style pillows if that is what they are so that's okay. It ships with a standard sized headgear - that may change later. Reasonable price with insurance I'd say. Will report my results when I have about a week wearing it unless I have zero leaks or an AHI of 0.0 the first night!
I'm 70 and don't hear well and never did have to say "huh" to the young lady as she was an American and spoke perfect English - God Bless America!!

Re: DeVilbiss announced a new pillows system today
I notice there is only a regular size headgear--wonder if I need to wait for the small or ladies' to come out?

I'll be glad to give you an estimate when I get mine - you have a very small head?chunkyfrog wrote:I notice there is only a regular size headgear--wonder if I need to wait for the small or ladies' to come out?
Re: DeVilbiss announced a new pillows system today
Okay - Got the Aloha Today and tonight will be our first date. I thought I'd give you some details on its appearance and construction. Of course we won't know about durability until it has been used for a period of time.
- The pillow assembly is referred to as a reservoir and the prongs that attach to them have four notches which determine the angle.
- The circuit tube very much resembles the one on the Swift FX - will stretch and attaches the same way. The venting is angled upward or downward, depending on whether you let the tube rest on your chest or attach it to the top of the headgear. An attachment is furnished to attach the tube overhead.
- The headgear is very light-weight and comes with its own very comfortable soft strap pads and feels like nothing is on your cheeks. They attach with Velcro as do another popular brand.
(The instructions say to hand wash it every 7 days.)
- The straps adjust with Velcro and the horizontal strap is set to ride low on the back of your head - almost touching your neck.
- The pillows are very similar to the ones on the F&P 360 but there's much more to them as the headgear attaches to the sides of them (S-M-L).
Observation only - I adjusted the straps to their limit for a small head and could still get it on my 7 1/8 size head. The original material said the headgear would be offered in sizes and that would be good for heads smaller and larger than my own. I'm guessing if you have a very smallish head you may want to purchase the insurance for sure but the larger heads should be accommodated nicely with this standard size head gear.
In summary, just from observation and adjusting it for tonight, seems there's a lot of mask there for $84.95! Insurance is listed today (3-7-12) at $14.22 which is below the $100 needed for free shipping. It was more Monday when I ordered mine. C'set la vie..... I plan to use this one like the Swift LT and feed it from overhead but not attached to the top strap. I use a Hose Buddy to support the heavy tubing coming from the Intellipap. Will keep you posted.
It is manufactured by RespCare.

Re: DeVilbiss announced a new pillows system today
I got mine yesterday too, shipped on time from cpap.com
I think it should have been shipped in a cardboard box, my mask box was just taped closed and had a rough ride. Looks like USPS had to bag it up.

Taking the bag off it looks like i was lucky i got everything, i had to spend some time figuring out if anything was damaged.

The pillows are not dual walled and have a gummy feel to them, i guess to help them stay in place. The headgear is very comfortable and i prefer it over the swift LT headgear. I could not figure out how to adjust the angle or the pivot on the pillows so I will try again tonight.
My first night i got a leak of 6.0 L/min and an AHI of 1.2, bad numbers for me. I may try it again tonight or over the weekend.
