How to set the time on a REMstar auto with C-Flex

Does anybody know how to set the time on a REMstar auto with C-Flex? The machine is from 2006. I've noticed that they MyENcore readings are about 3 hours off from the actual time.

You can't set the time on the Remstar machines. We can't get to it. Internal clock and battery accessibly only at the factory.

Which version of Encore are you using?
ENcore Pro 2.4 lets you set your own time zone....Encore Viewer 2.0 uses the computer clock.
Not sure about the older versions of Pro.
With Pro 2.4 the default time zone is GMT and we just go into the preferences and change the time zone to where we are at.

The clock chip in the Respirionics machines is not a very good one and they lose time. Since they are not hooked up to the internet it has no way to correct itself. It is run on a battery (Soldered into the board)which has a life of about 5 years and then they lose even more time. You have to have a cable and card to access the board. It also requires a diagnostic program to reset the clock. Since you can do lots of things with these things the manufacturer is not real happy for you to have them. The machine is set to Greenwich mean time an the computer and Encore converts it to your time zone. If you offset your computer clock when you download your card it should correct most of the loss. I still don't know why they feel it is bad for us to be able to set the clock, works the same way as the clock in the computer except you can't get to in in the machine. I guess that since we are not supposed to be reading our own data we are not supposed to know the clock is wrong!!!!

A clock in a computer isn't meant to be a timepiece, it's meant to control internal functions, in a computer hooked to the internet the O.S. usually has a provision to update the internal clock to match real time. Wal-Mart has clocks that keep time for under $15, a little velcro and you can park it on top of your machine. With a little duct tape you can probably hook up a T. V. to it too, the added weight might help in preventing pulling the machine off the nightstand. Jim

We need a wall of shame to put this and other bad decisions of CPAP manufacturers on.

Not having a customer replaceable battery and clock setting function is a really bad design decision.
