http://www.kaerys.com/kaerys/produits.html

This is in French.
I believe these people will beging marketing to the rest of the world.

Take a look at the weight of the device shown.
They have a battery pack that can run the unit for 8 hrs at 10cms.

The unit can be manged from a PALM Pilot PDA or serial interface.

Enjoy

KXS incarnates a new generation of CPAP:
light, ergonomic, portable, autonomous... KXS profits from technologies more innovating:
new algorithm of calibration of the pressure, new fashion of slope...
As many advanced with the service wellbeing patients.
KXS: a concentrate of innovations crowned by three international patents.

[ Comfort ]
Active Slope
A single concept conjugant a traditional slope with the awakening and an algorithm of drowsiness.

Adjustment patient comfort
Three possible adjustments for a maximum of comfort

New algorithms
New algorithms of regulation of the pressure for a better adaptation to the treatment.

[ Ergonomics ]

A privileged user interface
The user interface of KXS is intuitive. The access to the functions is fast thanks to unrolling menus. The user-friendliness of the graphic screen makes it possible to visualize several parameters in real time: curve of pressure, pressure of regulation, patient score.

A cleaner way of air
Of a very easy maintenance, KXS was conceived to avoid any concentration of pollution: smooth surface and especially total absence of foam in the circuit of air.

The smallest tube usable with a CPAP
By its diameter of 15mm, the patient tube offers a maximum quality of comfort.

[ Autonomy ]

KXS is the first portable CPAP
Pack Battery: a 8 hour endurance to 10 cmH2O, the use of a CPAP east désomais possible in any place constantly.

Design features
Volume 1 liter Scale of pressure 4 to 20 cmH2o
Weight 500 grams Adjustment of the pressure 0.5 cmH2O
Electric Consumption 13 GOES Time of Slope Up to 60 mn
Communication Series, PDA Noise Level lower than 30 dBa

References of Order
K701-KXS-000: KXS delivered with its block food, its patient tube 15mm, its note of use and its bag of transport

K700-KXS-000 KXS K401-KXS-003 Power supply unit
K701-KXS-001 Pack Batteries K401-KXS-004 Bag of transport
K401-kxs-002 Filter of air intake K401-KXS-005 Patient circuit, diameter 15 mm

With a weight of less than 1 1/4 pounds, it sure has a lot to offer.

That is light! Sounds good for camping. I wonder if this may need a tie down at hone since the hose weight with the cover is getting closer to the machine weight!

Yes, I have forgotten almost all my college French, so I had to use a translator.

I used Google to translate the page. I'm particularly intrigued by the "block food" in the "References of Order" section.

Bloc d'alimentation means power supply not block of food.

By the way, I am a French hosehead.

Bonsoir
