S9 Comparison chart

Post by idamtnboy » Sat Feb 25, 2012 10:46 pm

Came across this today on Resmed website. Since we've had many discussions about the differences among the four most commonly used S9 xPAPs I thought it might be interesting to post it here for all to see.

Good idea, That's handy.

OT, It just dawned on me what your screenname means! Duh. I kept thinking you were a damn tennessee boy! Now if I can figure out Slarty's.

I was so happy to see this. It seems that almost everyone that has the S9, has the auto. I am calling my DMe about which machine I want, this week. Should I fight for the auto? She said my script was not written for one. Right now I have the s8 elete. She suggested Respironics 45HS. It gets confusing.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, fight for the autoset. My DME started with the same line. It's the same billing code.
1. You need data, so the Elite or the Autoset.
2. If adjustments need to be made in the future the Autoset will give you more data to analyze and you can do it yourself! Not a moneymaker for the DME.

Mine wouldn't give me the S9 auto unless it said "Auto" in the script. I had my doc write me a new one and got it.

What ever works.
It's like asking for air conditioning when buying a car in the winter. You're going to need it.

Slartybartfast is a character in the Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
The character designed the fjords in Norway--to his unending pride.
