Where's my TRASH button???

Post by Gazhacks » Wed Feb 22, 2012 3:32 am

Ive been a member on here since last year and Im still waiting for my TRASH button? yet again more garbage is posted onto the forum and still I cant report it to anyone or delete it? If there isnt any admin on here everyday why havent we got the power to report/delete this garbage? The last thing I want to see on here is trash about sex tapes, if I wanted that kind of thing I'd find it. PLEASE GIVE ME MY BUTTON!!!!!!!

Actually, you have only been here for 79 days.

The qualifications for a Report Spam button are being a registered member for 90 days, a minimum of 50 posts, and a full head of hair.

However, I do admire your youthful protuberance.

How dare you say Im bald, Im follicly challenged

Ok I may have been a bit colourfull with the truth but it seems Ive been on here for months, although I am on here every day that must hold some weight, maybe if you changed it to hours on site I bet I beat many people who have been on here twice as long as me? Stick that in ya pipe

So, I have 11 days left of teeth grinding and shouting at the kids then ok, when I next start screaming at the computer screen I will tell them to blame Dave its his fault I dont have a big red button

Thanks

You are too anxious to start removing posts....The SPAM button is for removing SPAM ONLY...not just for removing posts that you don't like. Mis- use of the spam button may cause you to lose it once you get it. I have seen very FEW actual SPAM posts.

There is something simple you can do. Don't read posts, threads, posters you find offensive. You can also mark someone a "foe" in the control panel and you will not see their posts. A "trash" (and as stated, it's a spam button with strict rules for its use) button in your hands sounds like a very scary thing. You cannot "trash" another persons post, except in a reply post, simply because you don't agree, don't like the post or thread, or whatever. If you misuse your report spam button when you get one you will lose the privilege to do so.

Why , instead, don't you post some interesting, lively, and engaging discussion about OSA? As a member of the forum you have a duty to post positive, helpful, and informative discussions and I believe that duty is greater than your right to remove posts.

I take it then you didnt see the spam yesterday or the colourfull post this morning about where some one can find a porn movie??? and both the post have been removed. If your scared Im going to delete you then anymore bald comments and I may

My point was, if there are some minors on here I dont want them subject to such things like "Has anyone seen teenage hotstuff 6" with a colourfull review of its content, and also with me in a different time zone I seem to be on when the trolls are out, so Im usually on when up pops BIG JOCK DOES DALLAS

Why do I bother, well I run a cpap group on facebook also mountain walking groups on facebook and built forums and I know how annoying such nonesence can be.

Real Spam posts like this tend to be removed fairly quickly, so I wouldn't be too concerned. There's enough of us on here on a regular basis that they get removed.

I haven't had much time to visit this site lately, but I have deleted SPAM posts several times in recent weeks. They were mostly the non English type.

Since we have a smattering of French-speaking members, I don't delete ALL the foreign language ones.
I let the members who know what they are saying/selling, choose.
Russian (or whatever) is another story--No doubt a mistake.
Purses, computers, unrelated websites: hot potato time.
Gazhacks, I like your feisty attitude.
Yosemite Sam with a Brit accent--charming!
