New mask

Post by Merryj » Sun Feb 12, 2012 8:37 am

Have a follow-up next week and want a new mask. I wear glasses and really can't put them on to see the clock or anything at night/early morning.

Don't need a full-face mask. what are your favs for nasal mask or the kind that just go in the nostrils? Want some pros and cons so I know what to look/ask for in a new mask. Thanks in advance!

Perhaps if you post how you sleep, back, side, lots of tossing etc. then some of the seasoned folks can give you some tips or their experiences. Me included.

I have been a nasal pillow mask user since the first night nearly 3 years ago.

I currently used the Swift FX.
I started therapy using the Swift LT and changed to the Swift FX when it was release. They are very similar except the LT has different side straps and a little different angle adjustment thing.
These 2 masks are very well thought of with forum members along with the Opus 360...which I did try early on in my therapy. Nasal pillows were great but I had trouble with the headgear. Of course I was rather new to all this so part might be blamed on me.

You might look at those 3 nasal pillow systems to see which peaks yours interest a bit.

Right now I am using the newly released Bella Loops for the Swift FX...no headgear at all...just little loops behind the ears to hold the nasal pillow in place. We have a thread started here about it.
Looks like it is going to be like any other mask....some love it....some hate it.

Thanks.

based on how the covers end up and how much my dh complains, I move aroudn quite a bit in my sleep. I usually start out on my side but end up who knows where.
