OK, I have been on my machine now since November. The problem I am having is finding a mask that works for me. I tried the nasal pillows first but I had issues with it causing sores on the inside of my nostrils and even with the chin strap provided I would mouth breathe at times. I went to a full face Forma mask and had to wear it so tight to prevent leaks it was causing a headache. So I am back to the pillows and this time I am starting with the correct size pillow and haven't had an issues with sores as yet. I also made a homemade strap that works slightly better than the one I had before. Is there a strap on the market that folks have found works for them. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Re: Mouth Breathing
A lot of members have this one and swear by it. Of course as with anything cpap related...others hated it.

I have no experience with it though. I chose to tape my mouth for a couple of months and seemed to have learned to keep my mouth shut..so I never invested any time into a chin strap.
Other members will chime in with what worked best for them.

Thanks Pugsy, that is the one I was looking at based off of all the reviews by folks. Mine will be here tomorrow.

Re: Mouth Breathing
I can't wear anything but nasal pillows due to sleep apnea and of course, I do mouth breathe sometimes. I was issued a white one that was very wide and hit me in the throat and didn't really think it kept my mouth closed either. So I purchased a halo chin strap by BreatheWear and it seems to work pretty well for me. This is the one I am talking about for a reference: http://www.bestcpapprice.com/HALO-Chin- ... p_385.html
There will probably always be a bit of leakage.
Another mask you might want to try is a hybrid mask. They have the nasal pillows and then cover the mouth which solves the mouth breathing problem. Since you could wear a ffm, this one shouldn't bother you at all. I am considering trying one because of the mouth breathing issue and don't feel this one would trigger the claustophobia like a regular ffm or nasal mask.
Here are the two I've found: This one is cheaper: https://www.cpap.com/productpage.php?PN ... 7Aodd1TF3w, and the other is : https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... dgear.html. It is put out by resmed. I think they both have good reviews.
