This is a fair complaint. I *hate* registering for content. I think it should be free.
We've written software that grabs these headlines from various content aggregators. We try to verify quality on a daily basis but often we are choosing between cleaning up an article, cpaptalk.com spam and helping a CPAPer who has called in with a problem. The headlines get the lowest priority and the people calling get the highest.
Business is all about building goodwill and trust. I really try hard to do that daily, but I must say that the streaming news is pretty wild west - we parse for keywords and if we get them, it gets posted. Proceed with caution!
Also, to bypass registrations, I suggest you check out bugmenot.com. It is a place where like minded people share common logins and passwords for registration websites.
