Need Cushening ideas

Post by jabman » Tue Jan 17, 2012 3:41 pm

Ok, over the weekend I had a TV ( the CRT/ tube type) fall on my head. It left a big egg sized welt on my head right where the forehead adjuster on my mask sits. I have tried loosening the adjuster and straps so it is not sitting on the welt but that has caused other problems like large leaks. Is there anything soft I could put between the welt and adjuster?

I was thinking about something ring-shaped,
and remembered seeing foam spiral rollers at Sally beauty Supply,
that could be bent into a ring or oval and transfer the pressure
from the middle of your goose egg to the edge.
You could also use insulation foam (backer) rod in a small diameter or
cut and tape a piece of weather stripping.

I was at CVS yesterday looking for a less expensive alternative for my boomerang gel pads for my nose and noticed the Dr. Scholl's polymer gel inserts for shoes. There were also gel heel pads for women that would maybe fill the bill. Might want to check out something along those lines. Of course, you'd have to do some adjusting, but it's just an interim situation anyway. Good luck!

Thank you for your suggestions.

Lastnight I used cotton balls and they worked wounders, wish I would of thought of that the first night.
