Hi,
The masks that have seemed to be best for me are the nasal pillow type. So that I feel like im getting sufficient airflow, I use the L size pillows. Air flows good.
I keep everything washed well, on two masks. A ffm and a nasal mask (swift lt).
I have recently been moving around a lot more to sleep, and I think this has caused me to get sores (pimples or similar) in the hair follicles in the nose. It is really painful in my nose, and has gotten progressively worse over the last number of days. It is also painful (like a pimple) at the corners of the base of my nose.
I've seen all the recommendation for lanolin creams, but anything oily would make it worse if indeed pimples.
Anyone else encounter this? How did you deal? I'm tempted to buy a non-pillow ffm with cash (ridiculous that tgese things need prescriptions) at least to help with healing.
It's really painful...
Thanks!
Sores in nose?
Re: Sores in nose?
Only thing I can think of is in regards to the Swift LT.
Padacheek barrel cozy. Might help with the pillow movement which irritates skin..the material is quite soft and comfortable and perhaps it would help draw away some of the oils that is causing the clogging of the pores.

I bought it last February to help with rain out and discovered that it is so darn comfy that I use it year round. Not that I had any real issues with comfort and the nasal pillows...but the barrel cozy just adds a nice layer to things. Makes an already comfortable product...super comfortable.

Re: Sores in nose?
JH...I use the Swift Fx and had one bump at the start, I couldn't get the lanisoh around here so had to use triple antibiotic ointment to heal it. Thanks to Pugsy, I soon had a tube of lanisoh to use and found the thickness of the ointment actually helps hold the pillows in place.
