My Mirage Quattro FFM is doing a real number on my nose bridge. I've been using 3M Medipore tape but it's not enough.
I've perused the forum for a better solution and narrowed it down to the Gecko gel pad or the Padacheek nose protector.
I'm wondering, among the Quattro users out there, do you have a preference? Thanks!
Mirage Quattro FFM--Gecko or Padacheek???
Re: Mirage Quattro FFM--Gecko or Padacheek???
My nose was a red mess when I first started - I was even using "blister" bandaids that were thick and spongy to provide protection but they hurt to take off each morning.
I now always use a Gecko pad and find it is fantastic at protecting my nose.

I have a Gecko pad and one of the "blue" knock off pads I bought on ebay. I don't use it all the time, but only if my nose starts hurting.
You also may check your dial tension, as you might have the nose bridge too tight.
Lots of good information here about Taming the Quattro Mask.

Re: Mirage Quattro FFM--Gecko or Padacheek???
I will have to try this. Right now I have to pull it so tight I worry that I'll cut off my circulation. I think because my air pressure is so high (22 maybe going to 25) that I wonder sometimes if anything will help. Does anyone else have air pressure that high? I've only had my machine for about 4 months and have tried about 4 masks. I can sleep all night with this one, but wake up in the morning with the bridge of my nose red and hurting which turns into a headache. Today I noticed that I have numerous red blotches on my face where the mask fits. I am determined to do this because I am having serious side effects from the OSA and not able to work until I get it under control, but am very discouraged.

RetroDave - thanks for the pointer to the fitting tips. I actually followed his demo when I first got the FFM and that was the only way I was able to stop the leaks. I have the "nose dial" dialed all the way out to 24 already, and the top headgear straps loosened up as far as I can without creating leaks. I must just have super-sensitive/superthin skin on the bridge of my nose. When I feel it, there's almost no natural padding.
