Nasal Congestion - No FFM Yet

Post by indyzoom » Fri Jan 06, 2012 6:11 pm

Hi everyone, I'm having bad nasal congestion and trying to figure out what to do while I wait for my FFM to arrive (currently using nasal pillows). I thought something like the Essential Oils sold on Pur-Sleep, but I want something for tonight. Any ideas what I could get from CVS to help? Something perhaps I could put near the filter to relieve my congestion?

Indy...eucolyptus oil or wintergreen on a cotton ball set behind your machine!

Cool, would that be good to mix them or just one or the other?

NeilMed Nasal wash before you go to bed...available at CVS or Walgreens.

I second the NeilMed suggestion. However, I would use 2 packets (hypertonic solution) instead of one. It might unblock you enough to breathe somewhat better.

Any ideas where I could buy these oils?

Afrin. It works wonders, but should be limited to just three days.
CPAP for the rest of your life.

I have the NeilMed, and I had to do both nostrils multiple times before I felt cleared up. What would the 2 packets do? I thought that was just to balance the pH level.
