Strange results on Sleepyhead

Post by Moat » Tue Jan 03, 2012 12:13 pm

I have two consecutive nights that look like this. I am not sure why:

Almost like the mask pressure is flatlined and there is no flow rate data

For comparison here is a normal night:

The first mask pressure graph looks normal for straight CPAP; the second does not.

The flow rate graph may be missing for some dates if you fail to import (or backup, then import) your SD card at least once every seven days. ResMed automatically deletes flow rate information older than seven days from the SD card.

That makes sense since it was over seven days. Though my graph always looks like the lower one. My flow settings always fluctuate and I figured that was the flex setting for my exhale. I am wrong?

I guess that would make sense.

There are two different files for mask pressure. One is sampled at 25 times per second, the same as flow, (high resolution data) and the other is once every two seconds just like leak, minute ventilation, etc., (detail data). It looks like the Dec 24 graph for pressure is the detail data version since the hi res file was missing. There's only seven days of hi res data on the SD card, and 30 days of detail data.

If you expand the flow graph to about 5 minutes for full scale you'll get a lot better picture of what it is. The portion of the line above zero is inhalation, below zero is exhalation, in liters per minute.
