For those here using this uniy, how do you like it? Are there any negatives? Thanks.

It is a good machine. Comparing it to the S9 Autoset, the sounds coming from inspiration/expiration are ever so slightly louder and we have experienced some rain out because we don't have a heated hose attached as we do with the S9.
The machine does its job and has a smaller footprint than the S9. You can get some info by plugging smart codes in online, but you do not get the same amount of info as you do with the S9 unless you purchase the Intellipap software.

It is a wonderful machine and does the job! I have used it since 8/10 without any problems, and the software provides all the data one needs unless you have a complicated case of OSA. For the price, it can't be beat. It has the best warranty in the industry, too... and no power brick to deal with.

Ditto what Emilia says. I've had mine a year. Primary machine is the S9 Autoset. I bought the iPAP to keep at my wife's place (we live apart, not by choice, by necessity). I got tired of lugging my S9 there and back on my monthly visits, so bought the iPAP to keep there. When I'm there, I plug it in and once the lights are out (and the wife is done pawing at me (I feel like a piece of meat; it's so degrading. . . )), I can't tell the difference between the two machines. It's half the cost of the S9, it's smaller, doesn't need a power brick, is easier to take traveling, is just as quiet (my ears can't tell the difference). Only difference is the software isn't as good. But unless you're a tech-geek (I are one) or a hypochondriac, that's not important. The data that's available through the Smart Codes is sufficient to get you dialed in if you get some advice from the kind folks on this board. And I'm told the software that's available for the iPAP is pretty good, but not on a par with that of the S9. If you want a good machine to treat your condition, buy it. If you want/need the software, pay twice as much and get the S9 Autoset.

Stated another way:

If a piece of a Soyuz rocket that exploded on liftoff in Russia were to crash through the roof and smash my S9 Autoset, but leave me in one piece, or if my S9 Autoset were to suddenly cease functioning, I would replace it with an Intellipap with no regrets.

I like my Intellipap Auto. After being forced to use obsolete ResMed and Risperonics stuff, I wanted a change. This time I told my new DME what I wanted and they ordered it for me. Been using it for 10 months and have no regrets.
