Did my DME set up my auto c-flex correct? am new , help ?

Post by carlbq » Wed Mar 08, 2006 11:07 am

Prescription reads: remstar auto with c-flex, 5-16

I just starts 4 nights ago, always stars at 5, at night if i wake it is at 15, i stay awake and it never goes down, it does not drop pressure when I exhale

I hit the ramp button and it goes to 5, about 20 min later back up to 9, never drops pressure at exhale.

leak woke me up last night, they setting read 15, never dropped back so i hit the ramp again.

i thought the auto would self adjust in the 5-16 range based upon my needs and if i was in deep sleep or awake..so if i am wide awake why does it NOT drop back down in pressure, and why is it NOT dropping momentarily at exhale?

I am thinking the DME set it for cpap only, no c-flex, to ramp up to 15.

thoughts? also, has anyone ordered the remstar auto with c-flex "clinicians" manual off e-bay? is it the real thing?

thanks for the help for all that may respond.
