FYI - you cannot use a Nasal Mask after being pepper-sprayed

Post by McSnoresalot » Tue Dec 13, 2011 1:14 pm

.....Even if you got maced by accident.

BTW: Pepper Spray does not taste very "peppery" - you wouldn't be grinding this stuff over a nice caesar salad.

Really made my sinuses swell up and shut - no way Facehugger was going to work.

Got sprayed showing the girls how to discharge an old can (It's a rough World - all the Daughters and Wifey carry pepper spray and I always get them the good stuff with the highest Scofield rating - replace every year, was time to swap them out)

They always say you shouldn't spit (sic) into the wind - same goes for firing off one of these defensive sprays - live and learn.

Ha! You can always be counted on to provide comic relief - even at your own expense.

Cheers,

Behave yourself, and maybe the wife and daughters won't spray you again. P.S., Don't buy them guns for XMAS. Jim

Mac, I feel your pain. As long as we're admitting - not too long ago I washed my nasal mask.

With hands that had just cored, seeded, and chopped three dozen habañero chiles for the freezer.

Washing hands with soap after handling chilies does not remove the capsaicin...

It made for an interesting evening.

I kinda had the opposite reaction. After the first couple of hours of OMGWTFBBQ, and having snot come from places I didn't even know could snot, my head was crystal clear. Not what I would reccomend for a good head cleaning, but pretty darn effective not the less.

Ouch! I HATE pepper spray. About 12 years ago the security guards at the Ralph (Ralph Wilson stadium) decided to subdue a drunk during the Bills-Packers game. On a very windy day. They ended up subduing our entire section. I'd have rather put up with the drunk for the rest of the game.

Another cooking tip: never put a pot roast in the crock pot when still half asleep. The other day I grabbed what I thought was a bottle of red cooking wine.... nope, it was red wine vinegar. Told the hubby that night (after I dug through the trash for the bottle) that the wine must've gone bad - fortunately he hasn't gone on this board yet since his sleep study last night!
