SD card to MAC

Post by rlyndecker » Mon Dec 12, 2011 12:38 am

Someone told me how to upload my information but I don't honestly know where my SD card is or how to load it to my MAC. Can someone please help me?
THANK YOU!

What kind of Mac do you have? Does it have a slot for an SD card? If not, then you will need a little SD card reader that plugs into a USB port on your Mac?

Someone else with your CPAP machine will need to say exactly where the SD card is located.

Turn the machine around so you are looking at the back side....See where the filters go? The SD slot is above the filter slot almost to the top of the machine.

It is under a little "lip" if looking down on the top of the machine..the lip sticks out just a bit onto the back.

If you still can't find it, I will look for a picture.

Question though? Has your DME placed a modem back there to check compliance? If so..the modem sort of covers the SD slot.

There is usually a little port under or next to the optical drive (DVD) slot that the SD card will go in, but two things to keep in mind:

1: make sure you slide the little lock slider on the SD card to LOCKED or READ ONLY. The Mac will try to write file-system data to the card and mess with the S9 data otherwise.

2: You might have better luck if you create a boot-camp partition (search support.apple.com for Boot Camp) and use the software in a Windows machine. SleepyHead works on Mac, but most other software doesn't behave very well unless you're on Windows.

Found an image of the back of the machine with filters and SD card placement. If yours doesn't look like this then perhaps the modem is covering it. Modem can easily be removed to get to the SD card and replaced after SD card is put back in the slot.
