Any suggestions for FF mask for women?

Post by Catatrina » Sat Dec 03, 2011 11:23 am

I have tried Quattro FF mask; comfort gel FF Mask by Resperonics; most all of them bother the bridge of nose after awhile; believe me it gets old.
presently I have a sinus infection and although I appreciate the humidity from my FF Comfort gel mask its just not staying on my face any longer
I am desperately searching for something that will work at least 90% of the time. I have tried the hybrid FF mask; but with deviated nasal septum
on the right and sinus problem presently it doesn't work. I am hoping that someone out there has something that might work for me; being that women's
facial structure is different anatomically from men;it would be nice to find a good design that will work. I hope for any suggestions that could help
and believe me I am a faithful CPAP user and have been since for 3 years and I know it keeps me alive! Unforunately all of us go through phases of CPAP
therapy that put a spin on us but we hang on because we know it works and we don't give up because we have each other and right now I need all of you
to give me your thoughts and your support. Thanks a Bunch!

All I can do is share my experience - I am also a woman.

The ONLY mask I have ever been able to use is the F&P 431 FFM. I had serious nose bridge issues initially, but with some work (and time) my nosebridge has "toughened" that I don't have trouble any longer.

I know there are people that HATE this mask; others that love it. I happen to be one that loves it.

Try my mask, the RespCare Hynrid Universal FFM. Comfort of pillows, security of never losing precious therapy air via mouth, and nothing touching forehead or nose. Comes with 3 sizaes of pillows, 3 sizes of oral cushion, and headgear features an over the head strap to help secure the pillows/mask.

I also use a F&P 431. It made my nose bridge very sore and I starting putting on self-adhesive, thin moleskin (they sell this in the foot area of the pharmacy or Wal-Mart, etc with the corn pads and the like). It works very well.
