Breathie the CPAP and I are back again everyone!

Post by Cpapman11 » Sat Nov 26, 2011 12:16 am

Hi Everyone, having a period of mourning after the loss of a dear friend of mine, and a little vacation, I have come back, I missed you guys and girls.

I want to let you all know that i went back to my neurologist, and my sleep doctor, and he gave me the results of my sleep study i requested, I will tell you what my report said on my 1st sleep study.

(Looking at report)...ok, ummm..it says here that:

REM latency from sleep onset was 151.5 minutes, total time in bed was 457 min. with total sleep time was 373.5 minutes.

sleep architecture was 74.5 minutes for 19.9% of REM,132.5 minutes of Stage 1, 166.5 min for 44.6% of N2,and 0 on Stage 3. total arousal time index is 57.3 per hour of sleep....EEK!! :O

total number of respiritory events: 322, REM AHI index is 63.6, I had a total of 147 sleep apneas, 35 mixed apneas, 7 central Apneas, and 133 hypopneas. my sleep oxygen satuation was 88%, 79% being the minimum.

i had a total of 441 PLMS with a 70.8 index of sleep...CONCLUSION.....I have severe Sleep Apnea. (Looks at you all now).

So....ummm...What do you all think?..... !!!!

Jose

When you went back a second night for CPAP titration, what was the PLM index on the titration night?

What was your AHI (as opposed to REM AHI)?

My AHI index before titration was 51.7 per hour.. now I will show you the results of my 2nd sleep test, they are as follows....

Sleep Architecture showed 101.5 min for 26.5% of REM, 51.5 min for 13.4%of stage n1, 230 min for 60.0% of stage n2, and 0.5 min. for 0.1% of stage n3.

Rem sleep latency from sleep onset was 129.5 minutes, sleep efficiency was 87.5%, total time in bed was 438.5 min. with total sleep time of 383.5 min.

Total arousal index was 10.5 per hr of sleep.

sleep oxygen satuation was 94% with a total of 579 plms with an index of 90.6per hr of sleep.

my Cpap pressure was set to 13CM of H2o.

again.....What do you all think??.. !!!!!

Were the PLMS with arousals or without?

Did the sleep lab suggest another titration study? That number still looks high to me... I of course am not the best on this subject maybe someone else can help here... Was your ahi still 10.5?

my report doesnt say anything about PLMS arousals, and yes, my AHI was 10.5 per hr.index

What was your AHI at 13cm? The overall AHI may be higher than desirable because of time spent at subtherapeutic pressures during the titration.

I thought you said it was 10.5? But you said your arousal index was 10.5, also. Maybe you need to get a fuller report that hopefully has what your AHI was on the prescribed pressure.

yes, it was 10.5% BEFORE Titration....my report doesnt say what the AHI is AFTER my 2nd sleep test using the cpap at my 13cmH20 setting..:S
