I will (probably) get around to purchasing the Devilbiss Smartlink module to get more info (I am half blind on Smartcode only).
I have heard that once attached to a given Intellipap machine, the unit will only work with that machine.
My source tells me they are waiting for Devilbiss to tell them how to unlock the module so that it can work on another machine.
any advice? I am gobsmacked if it is indeed the case that a module will only work on one machine. how is a provider or sleep doctor/specialist with the module and multiple machines to look at supposed to get hold of the data they need if the patients dont have the module.
how fair is it if my machine goes bunk and I buy another Devilbiss and my module doesnt work on the new machine?
perhaps this is not the case.
please correct me if this information is not accurate.
any info on unlocking the module much appreciated in advance.

I don't know if this is true or not, but forum member, DeVilbiss Marketing, will know. Send her a PM.
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

The module can indeed be used on more than one patient and on more than one IntelliPAP device. The confusion may have arouse because a SmartLink module can be associated with one patient at a time.
Here are the directions for resetting the module:
1. Remove the SmartLink module from previous patient’s CPAP.
2. Attach the SmartLink module to the new patient’s CPAP. The CPAP display indicates “Setup Required Contact Provider”.
3. Press and hold the down key for 10 seconds. The CPAP display indicates “SmartLink Module Now Cleared”.
4. The SmartLink module is clear and ready for use by a new patient.
To unassign the module from a patient within the SmartLink software, please follow these instructions:
1. From the SmartLink toolbar, select Patients. A list of patients displays.
2. Click the arrow icon in front of the patient's name. A drop-down list displays with patient-related information.
3. Select Devices. The Devices screen displays.
4. Select the device you want to unassign by right-clicking on the device. A drop-down list displays.
5. Select Change Status. The status changes from Assigned to Unassigned and displays in the list of devices.
6. To remove the device from the patient record, right-click the device and select Delete or click Delete on the Home tab. A message displays asking you to confirm the deletion.
7. Click OK to continue or Cancel to abort. The device is removed from the patient record.
