CPAP wipe question
The other day on here I was looking around and noticed some people use other wipes, and do not order the special wipes for the masks.
I have been trying to find the posts all morning before I go to work but I am having internet issues making the forum hard to read and download ( have had to resort to 3G). I know I should just keep looking but in order to save a little time, I was wondering what other people use to clean the mask each morning or if anyone can direct me to the proper thread
Thanks

Re: CPAP wipe question
I was told by my DME that baby wipes were fine to use. ( the ones with no alcohol) You can simply wash with a mild soap too if you would like. I use them for convience. They are cheap and work just fine for me.

Re: CPAP wipe question
I use unscented baby wipes, preferably hypoallergenic.
Inexpensive choices are Target's Up & Up, and Wally's Parents' Choice.
You can try sample sizes, available in the drug/travel areas of both stores (or other retailers)
I'm saving my coins to try the dedicated wipes sold by CPAP.com--one of these days. . .
I have yet to see baby wipes that DO contain alcohol. Not for babes.

Re: CPAP wipe question
Walgreens.com has Citrus CPAP wipes for $8.99...less when they run them on sale. They are the same as CPAP.com $13.95 wipes. I cut them in half.

Lysol wipes have bleach and another strong cleaning agent....not good for your mask, will degrade the silicone. Not to mention, you are breathing in stong chemicals all night long as they linger on the mask parts. Best to use unscented, alcohol free baby wipes.

Re: CPAP wipe question
dutchharborbrands . com has these great CPAP wipes by a company called A World of Wipes. They were less than what I paid at CVS or Walgreens. 62 Wipes for $7.59. They were unscented which was great since I hate the medical smell these products always have. They also were made of natural ingredients which is always a good thing. Plus it didn't hurt that they were biodegradable and didnt have any alcohol or latex in them.

Walgreens has unscented baby wipes - count =78 for less than $4.00 . I use one daily, to wipe mask and humidifier tank.
Some times they are on sale , two for five dollars.
