SleepWeaver Advanced Nasal Mask
I am trying to find a new mask that will actually seal at a 20 pressure. Someone told me about this SleepWeaver Advanced Nasal Mask that is made of cloth! I was wondering if anyone out there has ever used this mask? If so, please let me know what you thought about it and if you had any trouble getting a seal. Thanks much.

Hi Sherry,
I do have a SleepWeaver cloth mask, and while it is comfortable to wear, I can't get the leaks to stop. It's mostly around the nose area, blowing air into my eyes. It may just be the shape of my face and it may work fine for you. I have noticed the the holes the straps go through have stretched out, probably because I have cranked it down so tight. It doesn't seem to matter if it's loose or tight, it still leaks. Here's wishing you good luck if you choose to give it a try.

In inquired about this mask when I visited my RT last month. She indicated that her clients haven't had much success with it. She said most have utilized the 30-day return program to exchange them due to leaks.
Re: SleepWeaver Advanced Nasal Mask
I got this mask a couple of weeks ago, and am still battling the leaks at my eyes and above my mouth, however it's an unbelievably comfortable mask.
One thing I noticed is that my leak rate over the night is VERY HIGH and it's consistent, however my AHI is actually lower than usual at around 0.2 or lower.
I have gone back to my Swift LT whilst I wait for my PadaCheek liner to hopefully stop these annoying leaks. I am also waiting to hear from Circadiance regarding the leaks and the difference in the leak rate per my CPAP machine.
My pressure is only around 10cm, so no idea how it would be at higher pressures.
Cheers,
xena

Re: SleepWeaver Advanced Nasal Mask
I want to preface this with: I'm not a regular CPAP user. I am an RPSGT (Sleep Tech)
I do use CPAP when testing masks and machines for my website and YouTube Videos.
I have a lengthy video with this mask, but it probably wouldn't help with this problem much.
What I found: The mask will seal at 20cmH20. I got it to do this and I have a very.......unfortunate nose. Note that I didn't actually sleep with it at this pressure, I just wanted to see if it would. I found it seems to seal better at higher pressures. I did sleep with it at 12cmH20.
When researching it I found that Circadiance had a set of directions on how to get it to seal. Then users of the mask had suggestions on how to get it to seal that were the exact opposite of what Circadiance said to do.
For leaks into my eyes I found that the strap going up in front of the face was the one to tighten. After that it was having the side straps snug, and then slide them back and forth. Like all masks, overtightening is a no-no
I also found that having the CPAP machine blowing air while putting the mask on was important to getting a better seal. The nice thing is that once you get a seal with the SleepWeaver, it's difficult for leaks to start up again.
Hope that helps somewhat.

All I did was try it on...air blowing everywhere with no way to stop it...my best friends is manager of a DME..she told me not to use it.
