Cigarette DC Power Adapter for S9 Elite

Post by LXJenkins » Thu Nov 10, 2011 4:41 pm

I'll be on a transatlantic flight that only has DC power ports similar to car cigarette lighters (15V I believe). Can anyone recommend a power adapter I should purchase to handle this. I do not presently have a battery and wasn't planning on getting one. Thanks!

They are probably Empower outlets.

You need one of these.....

... and possibly an Empower to cigarette lighter socket adapter.....

You'll also want to take LOTS of paperwork to show the flight attendants so they don't freak out at your nose-hose and insist you not use it...

I don't know what the power capacity is of an airline power outlet, but it may not be great enough to run the humidifier. Be sure you have what is needed to use your CPAP sans humidifier. When I tried to run my CPAP with humidifier from an 12 volt accessory plug in the bed of my pickup the inverter kept kicking out due to low voltage. Connecting directly to battery was the solution.
