Encore Pro 2.4 install missing file

Post by justbreathe » Sat Oct 22, 2011 11:31 am

Just installed EncorePro 2.4 upon start-up I got this message after changing password. can not find file elog.txt then the program stopes working. Program closes.

I tried to restart the program and it does not accept the user id and password. This is the message that pops up:

Application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the required permission, contact your system administrator, or use the Microsoft.NET Framework Configuration Tool.

If you click Continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.

Authenticate failed for user Encore Admin.

I'm guessing you have Windows Vista or Windows 7? If so, try right clicking the Encore Pro 2 icon and selecting "Run as Administrator".Maybe it will open now?

If that doesn't work, try going to control panel, programs and applications, select .NET Framework 3.5 and try to do a 'repair' install. Then try to open Encore Pro 2 again.

Run as administrator worked. Will I have to do this every time?

If you right click the Encore Pro 2 shortcut (icon) on your desktop and go to properties, you can click on advanced and tick the box to always run it as administrator.

Help guys I just downloaded mine (Encorepro2.4) and it says it downloaded successfully but cant read the media. When I go back to my previous therapy it can't read that either. Do I have to re-install 2.4?
Nan
Edited to say....Ignore me, I shut off my computer, restarted it and all went well.

Pro 2.5 apparently over wrote part of Pro 2.4 but didn't add the stuff for ASV data. It was supposed to.
Have I mentioned lately what a PITA POS software Pro is?

You may have to start all over again and just do Pro 2.5. If you do....when you do the install of the setup files and open those....install it from the "run as administrator" prompt choice and it will always open with administrator privileges.

A side note about Pro..either 2.4 or 2.5.
Pay attention to Log In ID and password. If you mess up 3 times or allow password for EncoreAdmin to expire there is the potential for major headaches.

I need to modify suggestions.
EncoreAdmin password is by default set to expire in 90 days....go change that to 0 days. Log In and Password are case sensitive.
I think it is best to create another user Log In ID with its password also set for 0 days. Use that Log In ID instead of the main EncoreAdmin log in ID. If you mess the alternate ID up with password mistakes you can use EncoreAdmin log in to go into the program to fix it. If EncoreAdmin log in gets messed up...no one to fix it.

I think under 2.5 the prescription screen is split in two sections. You should find the new ASV under Ventilators, not sleep devices.
