I'm trying out a resmed nasal mask. It feels good, seems easier to breath with this mask. Only problem is I wake up with a very sore nasal bridge! Using a bandaid only seems to make it worst when I take it off. Any suggestions? A big thank you in advance!

You can try one of the liners available. You need to get a handle on this problem because the mask keeps going on the same sore place and can really cause problems. Happened to me with the Quattro. I don't know why bandaids would make it worse. Good luck.

I had to use one of the silicone nose-bridge pads for the first two months with the Quattro FFM. After that time, my nose seemed to toughen up a bit and I didn't get the soreness anymore.

You're right, the band-aid itself ins't a great solution.

The masks liners (especially the ones offered by Padacheek) have been the best solution to this problem for me.

In my sig line is a link to "Taming the Mirage Quattro". I know you have a different mask--a nasal mask, but the fitting tips will still help if your mask has an air cushion.

Wow! Some great advice! Yes this mask has a double cushion, I will loosen up the straps and give it a try. Thank you all very much!

Since I'm always trying to find the perfect mask I gave it a try a couple of weeks ago. Too many leaks for me. Sent it back. You might want to try the Resmed Mirage Softgel Nasal Mask if you haven't had a chance to. Good luck with everything.

Two things....Loosen the straps and your nose will toughen up.

I'm trying the resmed mirage fx nasal mask.

I also have the ResMes Mirage FX. The first night was great, with only the slightest hint of discomfort. That night, the menu said I had 10 L/min leakage. Last night, I must not have done a good fitting. Woke up with a sore bridge, very red and swollen. Leakage was 21 L/min. In both cases I used the RemZzzs that the DME gave me a couple to try. First night I put it on my face and then put the mask on. Last night I put it on the mask and fitted it to my face. Maybe I can try a night without either and see how it goes.

I'm also going to try the fitting suggestions provided by Janknitz tonight. I guarantee that I had it on too tight last night as I felt it pressing against my lip and teeth while trying to fall asleep.

Either way, I'm not discouraged. Only using my CPAP 2 night now, but feel a world of a difference. Still groggy waking up and still hitting snooze, but I'm down from no energy and 5+ naps a day to decent energy and 1 nap (yesterday, none today so far). I'm hoping I'll start having the energy to get back into running. I'm sure if I lost some weight that will help everything too.

Hey Mike, where did you get the noes-bridge pads from? I'm having the same issue. Band-aids help a little but not much. I will also try adjusting the straps.
