Could that zombie-like feeling be caused by lower levels of adrenaline and other stress hormones? Was I becoming dependent on them? On the second morning of my therapy, I feel much less zombie-like and will see how the day goes. I'm only aware of waking twice last night and will know more once the software for my machine arrives.
My blood pressure is finally lower in the morning. It went from 152/74 last night to 116/63 this morning. I have been charting my BP for the past two months, having been placed on BP medication. We'll soon see if the graph shows any significant benefits resulting from sleep therapy. I'm confident there will be.

Re: Newbie reports on second morning of therapy 3
Welcome. Give it some time. It's great if you start feeling better right away, but it will probably take awhile before it affects your BP. I believe it takes your body some time to adjust to not having the release of those stress hormones every night, but don't believe they are habit forming.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Hello Pugsy,
Thanks Pugsy for letting me know about Sleepyhead data viewer. I found out I'm a real busy guy when I'm sleeping. Now if only I could figure out how to get paid for all of the activity the machine is logging.

Thanks, Mary Z for reassuring me that I'm not hooked on myself.
By the way, my screen name is an anagram for hosehead.
