OT Phillips Respironics Rep

Post by jmcanzo » Fri Oct 14, 2011 1:32 pm

I work in a hospital in IT. I got a call from our sleep lab that the local rep from Respironics was trying to install Encore Pro 2 on one of our pc's. The PC's here are locked down pretty tight so he was unable to under a users login. So I had to go there and install it under my login. As we were waiting for the install to finish and all the reboots, we were talking. He is a cpap user himself and when the software was loaded he pulls out a sd card to test the software, it is HIS card with HIS data from the night before. He said he finds that the best way to test it as it is real data. At least since he uses what he sells/supports he would fully understand what sleep centers needs might be. I wonder if it is a job requirement to be a cpap user?? LOL

Bet he gets all his gear for free too...

I deal with prosthetics facilities on a regular basis and it's surprising how many of them have amputees working there.

I wish that was a job requirement. I've heard that there is a ResMed rep that goes to patient support group meetings to speak about new equipment and masks--he told Swift FX users to cram the pillows up into their noses. If he was a CPAP user, he'd know better!
