If so how to stop that so the Dr will have something to see?

Why do you think it is wiping the card?
Lock the card when you put it in your computer. All resscan needs to do it read it.

Don't know if this is why, but whenever you are asked to overwrite or delete, you should choose overwrite.
Wouldn't the S9 write all the data that is stored in the machine back onto your smart card once you re-insert?

From what I have read on htis forum, when asked to Overwrite or Discard, the recommended choice was to Discard.

I'm not sure why, other than it wouldn't make sense to write over previously downloaded data with the same data. Also no sure of the stability of the data when it will be overwritten about 30 times.

However, with the card locked none of the data on the card will be erased no matter which selection you make.

Well, I hope a ResScan user who is also a tech geek can give some guidance because I was advised to overwrite each time and not to discard. I may be doing something weird for all I know!

Overwrite or Discard is referring to duplicate data dates, already in your patient file. The only reason to overwrite is if you had additional data to download for a day you had already downloaded.
Example: I took a nap in the afternoon and downloaded that data. The next morning I download my nights sleep. There is already data for that day so I need to overwrite to get all the data that was recorded.
Otherwise I discard. There is no point in overwriting 9 months of summary data.
I don't know why ResScan would write to your card unless you were changing settings and then it asks to erase all data.

If ResScan didn't import the data correctly, you will need to overwrite. Otherwise the bad data import will not be corrected. I've had to do this way too many times.

If you mean you didn't check the box for detailed data and have to download again, OK, but I have never had ResScan not download what I told it to.

I always lock my card before I insert it into the card reader and have had no problems. For anyone who doesn't understand what "locking the card" means, you have to slide the little tab on the side of the card from the unlocked position (there is usually an icon of an unlocked padlock) which allows the machine to write to the card, to the locked position (icon is usually a locked padlock). You do this before inserting card in card reader or slot.

You reverse this process before re-inserting card into machine.

Are we supposed to bring the SDCARD to our doctors appointments? All I was told, by the DME, that he will let me know when to mail(to the DME) the SDCARD to him(probably to see if compliant or not??).

As a matter of habit, I take my S9 SD card to the Doctors in case they want to read it. So far they have every time. As for the DME, I wait till they ask.

They (the DME) usually ask for the card every 3 months or so. Sometimes you have to mail it and they mail it back to you, or if they are local you can drop it off.

Thanks for the info...I see my sleep doc in 10 days and will take my SDCARD there just in case. Yes, the DME said we can do it via mail but they aren't too far from me so I might just drop it off.

The software has issues. It didn't import the data correctly the first time (and second time on one occasion). It did import data, it just didn't do it correctly. Importing the data again using overwrite is the only way to correct it. No problem the last week or two, but I'm sure it will happen again.

I have been having similar occurences when I download but as you suggest, the cpap replaces what just got erased as soon as I put the card back into the cpap unit. I am not sure if I did something when I installed the program or what but it does still do it. I would not however worry about it since the cpap does seem to replace the erased data.
