CPAP average hours of use question

Post by Cpapman11 » Tue Oct 11, 2011 12:07 pm

Hey everyone, I have a question.

My CPAP machine Breathie Sr. has been giving me the same Average hours of use per night for about 2 weeks now, It reads that i am sleeping on average of 1.7 hours a night, but that is not true, for the past week, I have easily slept more than 4 hours each night

My question is, does AVERAGE hours of use per night mean that my CPAP is averaging the total hours ALTOGETHER since i started therapy?, I'd like to know if anyone else has had this happen, I have a F&P sleepstyle 200 CPAP, and it has a mode that records average number of hours per night.

Thank you for your help.

Jose

Jose,
I am not familiar with your machine. My machine has an option to look at different time periods on the screen. If you have that, then I would say it may be reporting an average over the total time or over 1 month or over 1 day, whatever it is set for. That is how mine works. Also, I have had to reboot my machine once or twice when things didn't look correct to me and in doing so it rectified the problem data. I hope someone who is familiar with your machine will answer. Also, check cpaplibrary.com to see if there is a clinical guide there for your machine.

Rebooting never hurts. Power off, unplug, wait 30 secs to 1 minute, plug back in.
