S9 data card question
S9 data card question
Good morning. I am trading my S9 Elite which I have had for 2 months for the S9 Autoset. The compliance data that will go to insurance at 3 months has not been sent yet. When DME trades out my machine today should I keep my current data card and insert that into the new machine? Will it keep my data going from one machine to the other without interupption?

Re: S9 data card question
Good morning to you. This is a good question, I have no experience with. I would guess that if you wait until past noon, when the machine will write all the day's data to the card, you could then insert it into the new machine and go right on from there.
Your DME should know the answer and be able to handle it for you. If you are past noon and have not napped since, the data should be up to date and written and solve any issues the DME might have with the exchange.
Let us know how it works out will you??

Re: S9 data card question
What you need to do is have the DME download the old card into their system then just start using the autoset. Then they can download that card and put the two together. If you put the card from the elite into the autoset it will say invalid card and prompt you to erase it loosing all of your data. The card keeps track of the serial number so it will only work in one machine at a time.

You should be able to insert the SD data card in your computer's reader and copy it to a hard drive or thumb drive. I can do that with the SD card in my Intellipap. If it's encrypted, it is still usable by the DME.

Thanks, is it Dane? Don't want to confuse you with someone else. I am fairly new.sleepnationtv wrote:What you need to do is have the DME download the old card into their system then just start using the autoset. I thought I read that somewhere before, hence the question. I will start with the new card in the new machine and let them take the old card for my compliance data thus far.

I think there was some good recommendations above, but one extra step I would do is backup the data card in a folder on my computer just in case the DME makes a mistake and loses or overwrites your old data. I always like to plan for the worst case scenario.

Re: S9 data card question
Are you doing a direct exchange? I know the insurance codes are the same. I am curious as to how difficult it is to upgrade. I have had an Elite for about a week now and wonder if an Autoset would improve my results. Still having AHI numbers in the 20's.apneawho wrote:Good morning. Re: S9 data card question
I would just make a backup of your ResScan patient file. You will probably have to create a new one for the new serial number anyway.
